1. Overview

APISmash (“the Service”) is a fully client-side web application. This means that all processing, including sending API requests, receiving responses, and storing saved requests, happens exclusively within your web browser. No data is transmitted to, processed by, or stored on any APISmash server.

We are committed to being transparent about how our tool works. This privacy policy explains exactly what data does and does not flow through our systems when you use APISmash.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any of the following:

  • API URLs you enter into the tool
  • Request headers, query parameters, or body payloads
  • API responses or response data
  • Authentication tokens or API keys
  • Your IP address (beyond standard web server access logs)
  • Personal identification information of any kind

3. Local Storage

APISmash uses your browser's built-in localStorageto save requests and request history. This data is stored entirely on your own device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the “Clear All” function in the app.

4. Third-Party APIs

When you use APISmash to send a request to a third-party API, your browser communicates directly with that API's server. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the privacy practices of those third-party services. Please review the privacy policy of any API you test.

5. Analytics (if any)

If we use any analytics service in the future (e.g., privacy-preserving page view counting), we will update this policy. Currently, no analytics services are active on this platform.

6. Children's Privacy

APISmash does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. As we collect no personal information from any users, this service is safe for all age groups from a data privacy standpoint.

We may update this privacy policy in the future. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
